to give a Guest Lecture on “Recent Advances in Understanding the Brain Mechanisms of Consciousness“

On Prof. Stanislas Dehaene – Prof. Stanislas Dehaene is a member of the French Academy of Sciences and Chair of Experimental Cognitive Psychology at the Collège de France. He introduced computational neuronal models of human cognition, including working memory and task control; he investigates the brain mechanisms by which children and adults acquire reading and arithmetic and he studies the distinction between conscious and non-conscious processing mechanisms in the human brain. Prof. Dehaene has described the brain mechanism of education in two books: The Number Sense (1997) and Reading in the Brain (2010).
