The French-Israeli High Council for Research
The High Council for Scientific and Technological Cooperation between France and Israel was created as a result of the recommendations of the High Level Group established by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries in 2002.
The High Council is co-chaired by Laurence Paye-Jeanneney, General Administrator of the CNAM and Hillel Bercovier, Professor and Vice President of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The aim of the High Council is to promote French and Israeli scientific and technological cooperation, to define priorities and to coordinate programs, joint projects and other forms of cooperation. The High Council shall conduct its activities in accordance with the respective research policies of each country and within their budgetary framework for scientific and technological cooperation.
The first meeting of the High Council for Scientific and Technological Cooperation was held in Jerusalem on April 19, 2004.
